Koogar flys to Jersey

Outside my hotel room in JerseyKoogar recently flew over to Jersey to train our new clients.

Over the last three months the Koogar Team have evolved a brand, created a more user friendly website and have now trained the staff within the company on how to use their new website and update it.

Katie Faulker; Director of Excel Recruitment said “The website looks great and its a lot easier to use for the Excel Staff as well as our clients and candidates.

Amendments and updates were made on the fly while in Excel’s offices in St Helier; as the clients asked for them. The truth of a websites functionality is always known when using it for real. Training took place 5 days before GO LIVE, making sure the site was running as it should for the users and the staff members for Monday 20th June.

Here is a photograph from my hotel room.

The pool and weather were being admired from Room 42 while I was tweaking and updating of the website for the next mornings meeting at 9am. Only a few hours before I flew back to the UK. Koogar are International!

We had a catch up meeting to talk about the tweaks and show them to the client making sure she was happy with everything.

I hope to return to Jersey to do more business and to maybe even have a holiday.

Have you been?

Off the radar…

When we train people/businesses in Social Media we recommend certain things to them to make sure they achieve the maximum potential with which ever platform they are using.

We have been off the radar a little due to the amount of work we currently have on and the bookings we are getting in for Social Media Training (x2 Full SM Days and x2 Hands-on Training Sessions in June), which means we haven’t blogged for a while. So I am sorry for that.

We have also been working on our own Marketing Plan/Strategy and have a new product that is currently in Beta. This product not only tells you;

  • what marketing you need to do during a year but also
  • how much you could be earning every month and most importantly
  • who your target audience is

We have hand picked 6 businesses to be our pilots for this new product before its full release but we are confident that it works, it will get you more business, keep you focused on what you have to do and help you to get there.

Sometimes you need to take a step back and work on your business not too much into it. You’ll be seeing our new marketing roll out over the next month. When you see something new, let us know what you think!

This week alone we have learnt a lot about what we need to do to achieve our monthly and yearly objectives.

Have you got a plan?

Koogar has gone Limited!

Yes, the fiscal year has just turned and we are VERY pleased to announce that Koogar has gone Limited.

Koogar started off as a hobby for Amanda back in 2006 (while she was working full time as an Internet Developer in Stockport) and over the years Koogar has pleasantly developed into a full time career, passion and company for Amanda. We started out as a Web Design company, as this at the time was the goal for Amanda to keep up her design skills, help businesses have a better web presence and to de-mystify the Internet for people.

I’m sure your aware that Koogar genuinely loves what we do for our clients and strive to be the best within our field!

Because of many of you (and despite the recession), Koogar has been going for nearly 5 years now, so we think its time that the company stood up and spread its paws.

Koogar has decided NOW is the right time to go Limited in the new tax year of 2011.

By going Limited it means that Koogar’s new vision can be rolled out. This new vision, is for the company to grow and expand, and really help new and existing existing clients to deliver thier marketing messages with even more impact and success. We would also like to help other businesses that you may know, to give the same care and devotion for their website’s, social media training and branding.

We plan to not only look after your website, but also develop your “Brand” on and offline for you, using Digital Marketing.

What does this mean to you?

Koogar wants to be even more successful by giving our clients even more value for their money!

We are looking to maintain ALL of our relationships, as we know you are all serious about growing and evolving your own visions, (whatever that may be as every ones vision of success is different). If you would like to know more about our new vision for Koogar and additional services you could benefit from, you’ll be able to find it on our website. Check out our philosophy and go from there…

We look forward to working with you, networking with you even more and helping you grow using Digital Marketing.

2011, so what now?

Well Happy New Year to you and yours and we hope its a very prosperous one for your company!

We want to hear from you!

We want to know what your company goals are and what you have planned for your company. Sharring a goal with someone else gives you a few things;

  • Accountability
  • Others in the knowing

If you share your goals with people and even better, speak them out loud there is a difference from just writing them down! The energy changes and your putting it out there.

Finish off this sentence;

By the end of 2011, I want to have…

For Koogar; …a new member of staff
For Amanda; …attending a Feng Shui course to learn about the art!

Think this is the spiritual me coming out…

This is the last time I will be writing a blog in 2010. I just wanted to say that this year has been our second year in business full time and it has been great! and its also our 5th year of trading.

Koogar has had its ups and downs like any company and they are to be expected. It just depends on how you deal with each situation.

Everything happens to us happens for a reason.

I’m a big believer in that!
Everything that happens to us is also feedback. So in the future, 2011; we will know how to deal with situations better, how to react to situations, change the way we do things from the feedback we have been given and know what we will do the next time it happens.

Running a company is a gift. It takes determination, passion, persistence and risk. However, its also a lot of fun, its exciting and new every day… So all I ask of you is to embrace your business with both arms in the new year and see what you can achieve!

d.S.d every day! (Do something different)

I plan to achieve a lot in 2011 and get a lot of feedback too. I have set goals and objectives for the company and I’m soooo looking forward to making them reality!

I look forward to seeing you beside me, either networking, having lunch, in meetings to plan something, in/on the radio or over a coffee.

I will raise my glass to you all tonight and wish you all the best in 2011!

We are here to help you every step of the way!

What did you achieve in 2010?

So as 2010 draws to a close, we take a look at what we have achieved over the last year within Koogar.

The majority of people would say they haven’t done much, achieved anything as we always remember the bad things in life and business. Sometimes bad things lead us onto good or better situations and without them we might not be where we are today…

Remember you even have to thank the small things and the bad things too!

In 2010, Koogar:

  • moved into our first office from our home office into Liverpool City Centre
  • took on a second member of staff who helped us:
    • become a great boss
    • understand the needs to staff
    • understand the need of our customers
    • understand what our clients want more of
  • grew our network within the Northwest of England
  • built new and stronger relationships
  • became a co-presenter of a Business Show on Redshift Radio
  • Personally, I now:

    • understand my business even better and this is on-going
    • understand what I want from Koogar
    • take more action

In 2011, Koogar will be growing and stepping closer to our vision. Over the Christmas break we will be writing down our goals for 2011 and hope you’ll be doing the same!

We would like to personally thank all of our colleagues, our clients, our associates and everyone we have come in contact with. As you have all helped us get to where we are today!

Please feel free to share with us your experiences of 2010, good and bad…

We wish you all the best for 2011! Lets make it another to remember.

    What was so 2009?

Koogar and the team would like to wish all of our clients, colleagues and friends a fantastic 2010.

We have already created our goals for 2010 and for the first 4 months of the year and are looking forward to achieving them all.

    In 2009 Koogar achieved:

    • full time commitment on the business (due to redundancy)
    • defined Koogar’s offering
    • joined a very successful BNI chapter and became Education Co-ordinator
    • creating a Wirral based networking club called “MyWirralHub”
    • held a “Wirral Tweet Up”
