Background
Ian Turner founded Aquastar over 20 years ago when he discovered the ‘flotation’ of sleeping whilst on holiday. He was so impressed with this concept he brought the idea back to Merseyside acquiring a small factory on the Wirral to begin making his own waterbeds. Sarah Jones is the Sales Director for Aquastar, a Rep for the company. Sarah’s previous Rep experience enabled her to work her way up the ladder to become Sales Director.
The Relationship
Sarah came across Koogar through a window advertisement and decided to work with Koogar as they were local, very efficient and came across as competent and very motivated to the work they did. Sarah knew as soon as she met Amanda that she wanted her to design Aquastar the website. Amanda took on the large job and completed it quickly, producing a highly functional and comprehensive website. Sarah felt the relationship between both companies had a very clear understanding and great communication stating that: Amanda always had positive and useful suggestions” and what most importantly “took the time to explain and show me examples of the work she would be doing for me, so it was not just a case of this is what I am doing and this is how much you have to pay” making her confident in trusting Amanda 100%.
Aquastar continues to work with Koogar as Amanda recently produced a leaflet, in relation to their success, in gaining a contract with a national chain. Koogar will also be re-branding Aquastar’s shop and helping to market this in the near future.
Past Experience
Previously, Sarah has used marketing companies from all over the country and found they all tried to tell her what she could and could not have as well as “the quality of work was just not there“. Sarah knew she would never have these problems when working with Koogar as they take the time to understand the clients’ needs and wants.
What Makes Koogar Different?
Sarah felt that the relationship between both companies and the work Amanda carried out for Aquastar has been very successful. Before Sarah and Amanda had started working together Sarah was not very computer literate, but Koogar offers and provides training in such areas and Amanda took the time to sit down with Sarah and show her what she wanted and needed to know to improve her computer skills. Sarah stated how Amanda did a lot of background and extra work, which she didn’t need to do, which makes Amanda “a very hard working and committed person whose work is always to a very high standard“. Sarah was also impressed at how Amanda not only motivated herself but Sarah too.
